NO. 12

No. 12

The engine shown originally ran at the Chelsworth Park Railway at Ivanhoe during the 1950's. It was painted a dark green and saw regular service. The loco was taken out of service for several years during which time it was given a major overhaul, including a new Briggs type boiler, by Bill Pert. It came on roster at DVR late 1979 in its present red scheme and was the only club owned steam loco operating for many years. Again the loco deteriorated as no 10 did, but has been in better condition. So it is being rebuilt slowly but surly on site.
